Quad biking in Sharm El Sheikh takes you into the Sinai desert on an automatic quad bike for a guided ride across dunes, open plains and rocky wadis, with a stop at a Bedouin camp for tea. You choose between a cool, quiet sunrise or morning ride and a sunset ride with the mountains glowing red, and hotel pickup is included either way.
No experience is needed. You get a safety briefing, a helmet and a short practice run before setting off, and the guide leads the group the whole time. Single quads and double quads for two people are available, so a partner or child can ride with you.
Sharm El Sheikh sits on the edge of the South Sinai desert. A short drive from the hotels, the resorts give way to sand, dry riverbeds and bare mountains, and that’s where the quad tracks begin.
At the quad center, the guide explains the controls, fits your helmet and ties your scarf so the sand stays off your face. Beginners take a short test ride on flat ground. Then the group sets off in a line behind the guide, starting slowly and picking up speed on the open stretches, with photo stops along the way.
Halfway through, you stop at a Bedouin camp, sit in the shade of a tent and drink sweet Bedouin tea. Then you ride back to the center by a different, quieter track.
Local tip: from May to September, pick the sunrise or sunset slot. Midday in the desert is very hot, and early or late light makes far better photos.
The desert is cool and silent, the light is clear, and there are fewer groups on the tracks. It suits photographers, early risers and families who want to be back at the hotel by late morning.

An air-conditioned vehicle collects you from your hotel and drives you to the quad center at the edge of the desert.
The instructor explains how to accelerate, brake and keep a safe distance, shows the guide's hand signals, and fits your helmet. Beginners do a short practice run.
You ride in a line behind the guide across dunes, open plateaus and mountain valleys, with stops for photos.
