If you can’t decide between the dunes and the waves, the Mega Safari Sharm Excursion gives you both—in one action-packed day. From the golden sands of the Sinai desert to the turquoise waters of the Red Sea, this adventure pairs high-octane fun with moments of tranquil beauty. Ride a quad bike, mount a camel, jump into water sports and snorkel vivid coral reefs—all in one journey.
Availability: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays
Pickup Time: Around 09:00 AM from Sharm El Sheikh hotels
Duration: Approximately 7 hours
Main Activities: Quad biking, camel ride, Bedouin lunch, banana boat/glass-bottom boat, snorkelling
Best for: Active travellers, families (older children), groups who want both desert and sea.
Few excursions offer both dramatic desert terrain and aquatic adventure. One moment you’re racing dunes, the next you’re skimming waves or peering through clear snorkel gear at fish beneath the sea.
Rather than picking just a desert safari or a sea ride, you experience both in one seamless itinerary. It’s the most efficient way to get major highlights of Sharm El Sheikh in a single outing.
Clothing: Closed-toe shoes, light yet protective trousers (sand flies and sun).
Sun protection: Sunglasses, scarf/head cover (for sand & wind), high-SPF sunscreen.
Swimwear & towel: For the water portion.
Camera or GoPro: The transition from desert to sea makes great visuals.
Hydration: Drink water before you leave; though soft drinks are included, bring a bottle if you can.
This tour involves active adventure: quad biking, camel ride, moderate movement. It’s suitable for travelers in good health; children above certain age limits (operators vary) are usually welcome. Pregnant guests or those with serious mobility restrictions should speak with the tour provider. Always confirm the current safety and gear provisions before booking.

Your day starts with a comfortable air-conditioned transfer from your hotel. Within about 30 minutes you’ll reach the quad-bike base in the Sinai desert—city behind you, vast golden terrain ahead.
After a safety briefing, you kick off your quad ride: 20-40 minutes of scooting across flat sand, then up into valleys between mountains. The guide stays close at hand so even first-time riders feel confident.
You’ll follow that with a symbolic ride on a camel—often called the “ship of the desert”. Next, arrive at a Bedouin camp where you’ll enjoy Habbak tea, perhaps a short rest, and a seaside lunch or tent-lunch that gives you a bit of traditional desert culture.
In the afternoon you transfer to the coast for your sea segment. Choose from banana boat rides, glass-bottom boat cruises or snorkelling among coral reefs. Life vests provided. This contrast—desert sun and sea breeze—is what makes the day memorable.
At day’s end you’ll be driven back to your hotel, usually by around 4-5 PM, with a full agenda and plenty of photo memories.
Q: Are beginners okay for quad biking?
A: Yes. The bikes are automatic, and experienced guides are present to lead the group.
Q: How much snorkelling time is included?
A: Typically an hour or so; gear may or may not be included—check with your provider.
Q: Is lunch included?
A: Yes—lunch is part of the package, commonly by seaside or at a Bedouin lunch venue.
Q: What time will I be back at the hotel?
A: Around 4–5 PM depending on season and traffic.
Don’t choose between desert or sea—move through both on the Sharm Mega Safari Excursion. It’s a day where your adrenaline, culture-sense and appetite all meet in one seamless experience. Whether you’re with friends, family or solo, you’ll come back with stories of sand tracks, camel hums and coral-faced fish.
