Sharm El Sheikh excursions start at your hotel door. In front of you is the Red Sea, with the reefs of Ras Mohammed and Tiran a short boat ride away. Behind you are the Sinai mountains, where a quad safari ends with Bedouin tea at sunset and a night climb up Mount Sinai ends with sunrise from the summit.
Give it one long day and you can stand in front of the Pyramids of Giza and the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo, walk through Karnak in Luxor, or cross to Jordan for Petra. Below you'll find every tour and day trip we run from Sharm, grouped by type, with clear starting prices: boat trips and snorkeling, desert safaris, Cairo and Luxor, family trips and private tours.
We have worked in Red Sea tourism for 20 years. Hotel pickup is always included, and there is no deposit: you pay on the day of the trip, in euros or dollars, and you can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before.

Short, straight answers from our team.
For a one-week holiday, pick one of each kind. The sea: a boat trip to Ras Mohammed National Park and White Island, the best-known reefs in the Red Sea. The desert: a quad or buggy safari at sunset with Bedouin tea, or the evening version with dinner and stargazing. The mountains: the night climb up Mount Sinai for sunrise, then St Catherine's Monastery. If you have a spare day, add Cairo and the Pyramids or Petra in Jordan.

It depends on the trip. Starting prices per adult are in the table above: from €18 for Ras Mohammed by bus up to €240 for Petra. Hotel pickup is always in the price, and each trip page lists what is included and what isn't, so you know the total before you book. There is no deposit: you pay on the day, in euros or dollars.
Usually, yes. Excursions sold by the hotel rep or your holiday company are convenient, but the same trip often costs noticeably more than with a local operator. Booking locally saves money as long as you pick a reliable company. With us you can book online or on WhatsApp even after you land: no deposit, free cancellation up to 24 hours before, and pickup from your hotel.
Yes, as a long day trip. You have two options. By minibus in a small group, you leave in the middle of the night and get back late the same evening, from €100 per person. By plane, the flight is under an hour each way, so the day is far less tiring, but it costs more. Both include the Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx and the Grand Egyptian Museum with a guide.

About 500 km by road. The drive goes through the tunnel under the Suez Canal and takes most of the night each way, which is why the minibus trip leaves so early. If you'd rather not spend that long on the road, the plane trip is the easier choice.
For Sharm itself, no. At the airport you can get a free "Sinai Only" stamp, which covers Sharm, Dahab, Ras Mohammed by land and Mount Sinai. For Cairo, Luxor or any trip outside South Sinai you need the full Egyptian tourist visa. If you think you might do one of those trips, buy the visa on arrival at the airport instead of taking the Sinai Only stamp. Rules can change, so check before you travel.
It depends on what you want. By bus you snorkel from the shore at two bays, see the Magic Lake and the earthquake crack, and it's the cheapest trip, from €18. By boat or yacht, from €35, you reach the best reefs in open water and White Island, the sandbar in the middle of the sea. Non-swimmers often prefer the bus trip; keen snorkelers usually choose the boat. Always ask whether the park entrance fee is in the price.
You're picked up from your hotel late in the evening and climb at night, on foot or partly by camel, to reach the summit (2,285 metres) before sunrise. Watching the sun come up over the Sinai mountains makes the effort worth it. On the way down you visit St Catherine's Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Bring good shoes and a warm jacket: the top is cold even in summer.

Petra is in Jordan. You drive from Sharm to the port, cross the Gulf of Aqaba by ferry and continue by road to the rock-cut city. It is a long, full day, from €240 per person. You need your passport; an ID card is not enough.

Plenty. The semi-submarine and glass-bottom boat are the favourites: you watch the fish through the windows and nobody gets wet. The dolphin show is a hit with younger children, and the Ras Mohammed boat trip works well for kids who are happy in the water. We recommend the night climb up Mount Sinai and the Cairo minibus trip for older children. Send us your children's ages and we'll suggest the right trips and prices.

The desert evening is the classic: a quad or camel ride at sunset, Bedouin dinner, a show and stargazing far from the city lights. In town, Naama Bay and SOHO Square are busy until late, and the Old Market is best after dark when it cools down.
