  The Temple of Hatshepsut is one of the most beautiful and best preserved of all the temples of ancient Egypt that you can find in Luxor. The temple is built on three levels with two broad ramps in a central location that connect the levels together. Up from the desert plain, in a series of terraces, is the Temple of Hatshepsut Mark with its sheer limestone cliffs on the eastern face of Mount Thebes as if nature itself had built this extraordinary monument.

  Visit the Colossus of Memnon

  The Colossi of Memnon are two colossal stone statues of King Amenhotep III are the only remains of a complete mortuary temple. The statues were made from blocks of quartzite sandstone found in Cairo and then moved 700 km to Luxor. The two statues are known as the Colossus of Egypt. Memnon, rising about 18 meters from the plain, are the remains of what was once the largest complex on the West Bank, built by Amenhotep III.
