Saint Catherine Monastery<\/span>
\nThis desert monastery is home to an incredible group of religious icons, art and manuscripts (some of which can be seen in the museum on the site), as well as burning bush.<\/span>
\nIt is one of the oldest monasteries in the world, St. Catherine stands at the foot of Mount Sinai, in the middle of the Sahara Mountains in the Sinai Peninsula, where Moses is said to have received the ten commandments.<\/span><\/p>\n
