The first incident really happened in Egypt on the Red Sea shoreline, where a French traveller practising relief was murdered by a deadly kind of shark while she was at a spot apart from the group she was hosting. Some Egyptians even claimed at the time that this was the result of an Israeli plot to ruin Egypt’s tourism sector, although this has since been disproven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, analysts and the general public had proposed a theory that is thought to be a more plausible and serious insult. They contend that the real cause of these repeated attacks was the abundance of dead sheep that were being transported by cargo ships at the time in the Red Sea or an attempt by, say, divers, to feed the sharks as a kind of adventure.
